Well, actually, that was almost entirely wrong =) okay this is a version of cataclysm. there maybe some details wrong because i dont remember every single thing. if i got something wrong, just tell it and no need to start the fight all over again =) So. Time had passed since the great war and people were living in majik, civilisation growing. Then came along a cabal of wizards who wanted the power of gods. So they started converting people away from gods, into atheism and satanism etc. thus, the power of gods decreased. at this point? lesser gods and new gods wanted to do something about it, but elder gods, not including dazzt who was trying to do something too, prevented intervention with the mages. Well, the mages grew stronger and stronger and finally they were able to kill some ancients and lesser/new gods. Then hell broke loose. Not able to handle the power, mages fell in a blaze of chaotic, out-of-control bursts of terror and destruction. at this point unnatural creatures terrorized majik, people went insane etc. imagine all the horrors that a failed experiment to become gods could invoke. when the smoke cleared, civilisation was at ruins. major cities were burned, collapsed and nature around them was wasted, though nature is fairly unharmed elsewhere. most of the population died and survivors cant remember a thing due to the collapse. so then sages come and start helping to rebuilding etc. this is only a simplified version and mandor will write something better, i guess/hope/pray. my version has some errors due to my bad memory, but it went something like that.
