Sounds very good to me. This would explain why player characters do not
know that much about the world etc. and also give a good kick to PCs'
butt straight from the beginning since so much is to be done (rebuilding
the world, for instance).
Also, this would give the designers a good reason and time to create
places and beings in the world.
