The sky rendering model has now been implemented and committed to CVS. It looks quite good, but it could still be a bit brighter. The next step is to make the sun move "correctly", get other objects to the sky (moons, stars), incorporate skylight into the landscape and finally create the clouds. If someone wants to design stars thoroughly, starting from their positions in the sky, feel free to do it. Otherwise I'll just generate a random pattern of stars and let you think constellations from them. ++ dazzt --- | Jari Saukkonen + jari.saukkonen@cs.helsinki.fi : coral -. | programming music graphics | dolphin : | art keyboards web | nah-kolor | +------------------------------------------------+-----------' | Babylon5-inspired 'shadow function' 0 <= t <= 4*pi/3 : x(t) = (sin 8t)^2 * (5 + 3sin 8t) cos (t/2 + (sin 8t)^2) . y(t) = +-(sin 8t)^2 * (5 + 3cos 8t) sin (t/2 + (sin 8t)^2)
