Hi i dont know if its ok for me to post a comment but here goes. Reflexes make the game more interesting. Say like you said a skilled swordsman could get killed easily if he had a bad player. If it is required for you to train in a skill by learning that skill and getting to a cer tain speed say in swords. What if its hard for you to advance in sword skill unless you have the necessary reflexes to do sword battle. Where you must practice with a trainer till you are good enough to go to the next level. Heres two games (Underlight a rpg dream world) and (Tanarus a futuristic tank game) where there are duels in both and not your level determines the outcome but your skills. And the Underlight game is a intense rpg game (banning for not rpging sometimes). Or maybe include two options for the player a automatic battle mode and a manual battle mode. Maybe they can learn from automatic or you can only use automatic until you think youve had enough practice to go manual. Like in swords you can use automatic till your a novice swordsman. But to become a expert you must do it manually. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Jonathan at "dgkoehn@gbasin.net"
