No one I asked could find one, so I decided to make one myself:
Plant Template
OVERVIEW:
-Accurate description so that the modelers can make a 3d model (size, colors, etc.)
-Terrain/Climate where found (wastelands, temperate forests, jungle, etc.)
-Life Cycle (reproduction, age, etc.)
-Special Attributes (magical properties, what the plant is used for)
SUMMARY
CLIMATE/TERRAIN:
FREQUENCY:

Herb Template:
(please note, this is only for herbs (substances derived from plants or a certain part of a plant) please use the PlantTemplate for plants.)
OVERVIEW:
-plant derived from and which part of plant
-process used to derive herb (if applicable)
-properties/uses (what’s the use of a herb if it does nothing? :P)
-who uses it
well… I’m sure there’s plenty more that’s needed… this is all I could come up with for the moment.

it should be based on the plant templete, since herbs come from plants. So all the info thats in the plant templete plus this new info.

A herb template is not a plant template. You do not put i"all the info thats in the plant templete" in it. Doing that would be like stuffing a plant's description with the description of the entire region where the plant appears. You only put the herb's own properties in a herb template. Nothing else. Nothing else. Nothing else.

well then all the herbs need a plant description to go with them... but if the herb is called the same as the plant the worldbook will link to the same page...

Why on earth would a herb have the same name as a plant?

why would it not?

almost all the spices and herbs in our world come from plants with the same name. The plant assumes the name of what its used for. Why should it be different in RPG?

Because the only connection between a herb and a plant is that the herb comes from the plant. They share nothing else. The plant's properties are irrelevant when considering those of the herb.

So the question is simply about the naming of the herb description files? If the plant's name is X, call the herb X_herb. But as far as plant-herb connections go, you can just make links between the two. Don't include plant descriptions in herb descriptions. We don't want a single description in two places at once. If you really insist on duplicating plant descriptions by copying them into herb descriptions... well, sure, but in that case we're putting you in charge of keeping them all up to date. ;)

Why on earth do we need different descriptions for herbs and plants? Why don't we just place all medical usage and that stuff into plant template if it has uses. We will soon have dozens of different sections in the worldbook while we could simply add more in ones we already have.

It was decided (on channel) that there won't be separate template for herbs. Instead, there will be Uses section (or something like that) in the plant template. I'm redesigning the plant template after my programming class and update the worldbook (if I just can access it:).
